It is so important to hear! I think it is safe to say Cole needs to hear it too. I will alwys know that he loves me but there is nothing like hearing him say it! But I am speaking for myself but I think it would be safe to say that everyone needs to hear that they are loved. There is point where that is possible, but for the most part (this is in the boy/girl relationships) the girl wants and needs to hear that you love her.
