We toured each of them (well, Red Square wasn't so much of a 'tour') during our stay, and they were each fairly fascinating. Of the four, Lenin's Mausoleum was by far the most interesting. There was something really solemn, eerie and just downright creepy.

Red Square - GUM

Its border across from the Kremlin is G.U.M., now a huge mall. It used to be a Socialist shopping mall, but now it's just a good old capitalistic mall. Jack thought it was real ironic that on one side of Red Square you've got the Kremlin, the pinnacle of Socialism, and on the other side you've got a huge mall, the perfect example of Capitalism. On the other sides of the square are the Museum of Natural History across St. Basil's Cathedral which probably makes some other statement....
The big red building is the Museum of Natural History which we toured later that week on National Free Museum Day or something. In front of it is some famous war hero more than likely. The entrance is on either side of the museum, and just to the right is the Kremlin.
I think these are actually parts of them. The third was a wooden wall, as I recall.
The white thing to the left was some guardhouse or something. Now its where you go through a metal detector, so I guess it still performs its function. This was taken on our first day there. We didn't go inside the Kremlin that day, but we did a few days later. I remember that first day or two were crazy. As soon as we got off the plane, Jack shuttled us to the metro, then we found our hostel, dropped our stuff off, and went on some whirlwind tour of the city. We saw about a million things. We were both pretty pissed at Jack at the end of the second day. We were exhausted and hadn't had a chance to catch up to his time and he wouldn't let us rest. We finally said CHILL and rested for a day or two.
