This is Red Square. Its border across from the Kremlin is G.U.M., now a huge mall. It used to be a Socialist shopping mall, but now it's just a good old capitalistic mall. Jack thought it was real ironic that on one side of Red Square you've got the Kremlin, the pinnacle of Socialism, and on the other side you've got a huge mall, the perfect example of Capitalism. On the other sides of the square are the Museum of Natural History across St. Basil's Cathedral which probably makes some other statement.... |
