How did this day start out so good and end up so craptastically?

Went to see Star Trek w/ the company yesterday.
It wasn’t as good as I was expecting, but it wasn’t bad either. For what it was (a action movie anyone would enjoy), it hit the mark and was watchable. I expected more depth out of the characters and out of the movie in general. The overall style was nice, but there were way too many lens flares (or whatever that effect was) which I found distracting at times. I didn’t really see any nod to Shatner’s portrayal of Kirk, so I was disappointed that didn’t happen.

It dawned on me late this last week that twitter has created an artificial regression in the web. A little known tag in the HTML spec (the so-called ‘anchor‘ tag) allows one to make a link to a web page, but instead of showing the entire URI, one specifies the constant ‘click here’. For example, click here for more information about ‘click here’. Had twitter been on the cutting edge of the HTML spec, they might have not started this abominable trend of hurting the internet. Click here for the antidote. :)
